Recently, we learnt that Apple is working on a follow-up for its slim lineup, but there haven’t been details on what to expect or what feature to make it better than the current iPhone Air. A new leak gives us a hint about the camera setup.
The tipster, Digital Chat Station, posted that the iPhone Air successor will still come with a thin and light design. The iPhone Air 2 will feature a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR panel with Face ID. Now, for the eye-catching detail. The tipster mentioned that the rear will have a notable camera upgrade.
Apple will likely add a 48MP ultrawide lens to the 48MP primary shooter. The iPhone Air has a single camera compared to the dual and triple camera setup of the iPhone 17 series. Users have complained about the camera limitation of this slim Air model , even though Apple claims it’s as good as multiple cameras in one. The single camera offers 2x telephoto mode, but lacks an ultrawide lens.
It seems Apple wants to change that in the next thin phone by including a second camera. Instead of positioning the second camera vertically like in the iPhone 17, the company will arrange it horizontally. One reason Apple moved to a vertical camera arrangement on its base iPhone was for spatial video recording. It remains unclear if the Air 2 will capture 3D videos.We await official confirmation from Apple regarding the phone’s specifications.

The launch date for the Honor 500 smartphone has been confirmed by Honor. The Chinese company has taken to Weibo to announce that the phone would be revealed on 24th November at 7:30pm China time, which is 11:30am in the UK. Already live in Honor’s home country are pre-order links.
An established source, Digital Chat Station has been sharing posts on the platform about Honor 500 and the specs for both the Honor 500 and the Honor 500 Pro . The Honor 500 Pro will offer a 6.55-inch 2736 x 1264 (1.5K) 120Hz flat display, with 3840Hz PWM dimmin. It will also feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor located at the bottom.
It will come with a metal frame, water and dust resistance ratings of IP68, IP69 and IP69K. Running on a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the device will pack a large 8000mAh battery, with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The rear camera features a 200MP 1/1.4-inch main sensor backed by a 12MP ultra-wide and a 50MP Sony IMX856 3X telephoto lens. There will also be a 50MP selfie cam.
For the Honor 500 , it will come with a similar display and battery to the Poco F7 that launched in June. The camera setup and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC will be the same. The Honor 500 is basically a mid-tier phone with some premium features.
