With more smartphones doing away with hardware keyboards by the day, Planet Computers have decided to take an audacious step with their new smartphone, the Astro Slide 5G Transformer.
This device has a slide QWERTY keyboard which is similar to the Nokia E7 . The Astro Slide 5G slides out to the left, revealing a backlit QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone has a Mediatek Dimensity 1000 under the hood which ensures that the device enjoys dual-mode 5G connectivity.

The Astro 5G Slide Transformer houses a single rear camera with a 48MP lens, a 6.53-inch display with slim bezels on the side and a 4,000mAh battery. There is no information yet regarding the front camera specs, as this device supports dual OS boosting coming with Linux OS and Android 10 OS.
The device has two USB-C ports, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. This mid-range device also comes with 6GB RAM paired with a 128GB storage. It is a wonderful option for users who enjoy getting work done on-the-go, and is also perfect for writing daily mails, memos and other kinds of documents.
This device can be gotten for $544 for early buyers, with the regular price set at $907. The Astro Slide 5G is currently available for crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The smartphone is expected to start shipping in March of 2021.

Coming after a number of leaks regarding the Vivo S6 device, the smartphone has now launched in China, with the device expected to hit a number of other markets anytime soon. The Vivo S6 5G is a successor to the S5 and comes with a number of improved features which we will be bringing you up to speed with today.
The Vivo S6 features a decent 6.44-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90.1% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the 2.26GHz Exynos 980 octa-core processor keeps things ticking in the Vivo S6, the device comes with 8GB RAM and internal storage ranging between 128GB and 256GB.

When it comes to photography, the Vivo S6 has a quad-rear camera setup housing a 48-megapixel main camera with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 lens. Up front, a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.08 aperture ensures that video calls and selfies are taken care off. The Vivo S6 also provides 4K video shooting, portrait panorama, night scene and a number of other camera features.
The device’s 4,500mAh battery offers 18W fast charging support, which is shocking to say the least, as the S5 had a 22.5W fast charging support. The Vivo S6 weighs around 181 grams and also comes with USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth v5.1.
The smartphone comes in two variants for now, with the 8GB + 128GB priced for $377, with the 8GB + 256GB option selling for $420. The smartphone is expected to go on sale in China from the 3 rd of April and will first hit a number of retail stores online before coming to physical outlets.
