The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 made their debut earlier this year, with the Fold model being the slimmer of the two. Samsung is working on a slimmer phone for the Flip lineup. The company aims to reduce the Galaxy Z Flip 8’s thickness.

Rumours suggest that Samsung plans to improve some areas in the Galaxy Z Fold series, particularly with a larger battery and a thinner design. A new leak suggests that the company also plans to make the Galaxy Z Flip 8 slimmer and lighter.

A report from The Bell claims that Samsung is planning significant improvements for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 by reducing both the thickness and weight of the device by more than 10%.

Slimmer Galaxy Z Flip 8

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been a hit, but that cannot be said about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 . It didn’t sell as it was expected. While the Galaxy Z Fold 7 came with a slimmer build, wider cover display, and lighter weight, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 didn’t have significant improvements. It just came with a larger display and a newer Snapdragon chipset.

With the Galaxy Z Flip 8, things are going to be different. The company won’t overlook the Flip series this time. It even plans to sell more Z Flip 8 units than the Z Fold 8 . It is said to be the reason for next year’s increase in foldable sales. Samsung aims for an overall 10% increase in foldable sales compared to this year.

While all these are underway, Apple is also working on its first foldable to debut next year. Apple’s foldable has long been expected, with other companies taking the limelight. Apple isn’t the only company gearing up for a foldable release next year. The Cupertino company has also been working on its foldable device for some years now with a possible release expected next year. With the foldable market getting hotter next year, Samsung aims to remain on top by making major improvements in its upcoming foldables.

It’s frustrating to type one thing and see your keyboard type another because it thought you meant that. That’s what iPhone users have been facing since the iPhone iOS 26 was launched. Their complaints reveal the keyboard is broken, unreliable, sluggish and changes normal words into completely different ones that don’t even make sense sometimes.

The issues with the autocorrect on iOS 26 keyboard include autocorrect rewriting correctly typed words into nonsense, changing a couple of correct words or sentences into something else entirely after hitting the “send” button, and many more.

Other problems with the autocorrect on the phone include reports of missed taps, lag between pressing a key and seeing it appear, and the spacebar triggering punctuation on its own. Its sluggishness and silly, unwanted corrections are enough to make anyone fed up with the keyboard. With this major issue of the keyboard, you would think the next software update would fix it. The reality is far from that.

The iOS 26.2 beta 3 that recently launched doesn’t include any updates to fix the autocorrect problems. The problems need to be addressed quickly so iPhone users can enjoy a better typing experience just like Android users. Regarding when the issue will be fixed, we don’t know yet. We can only hope Apple handles the problem in the fourth software update.
