Recently, when trying to go to check my Google Adsense earnings page, the page displayed the following message:
We apologise for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it.
No matter how many times I refreshed the page, the message wouldn’t go away. I even logged out of Adsense and then logged back in. Nothing changed.
It took a while, but I found out what the problem was: it was an adblocker. If you enable the adblocker in your web browser, it blocks not only ads on Web pages, but also blocks the Adsense page as well, hence the message that Adsense is unable to process your request.
And I think that makes sense: you should not be able to access and use Adsense if you are blocking their ads. Otherwise, that would be a classic case of eating your cake and having it. In my case, I remember that I was tinkering with the browser settings recently and wanted to see what impact the adblocker would have on my websites. I forgot to turn it off after the experiment.
To fix the problem, all I had to do was disable the adblocker and refresh the page. Voila! The error message went away.
You will find the option to disable adblocker in your web browser’s settings. I use Edge browser and the path for that is: Settings > Site Settings > Block Ads > AdBlock Plus .
Once the Adblocker was disabled, the problem went away. Do the same in your browser settings, whatever browser you use, and the problem will go away for you as well.
