It’s expected that Samsung will unveil the next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series , in February this year. There have been many reports about the upcoming phones showing their major hardware and software upgrades. A recent report reveals a smaller and very useful software feature for these coming phones.

Ahmed Qwaider, on X , claims that on the Galaxy S26, after adding an event to the calendar when you’re chatting with someone over Instagram, SMS, or WhatsApp about a meeting or arranging an appointment for the same day, the device notifies you that you are busy at that time and day.
⭕️Amazing feature👌 When you add an event to your calendar if you’re chatting on WhatsApp or Instagram to set a time or even using SMS to arrange a meeting or appointment on the same day your device will automatically notify you that you’re busy on that day🤩 #GalaxyS26Ultra pic.twitter.com/JKO1RkRn4X — Ahmed Qwaider (@AhmedQwaider888) January 14, 2026
The Galaxy S26 notifies users about calendar conflicts while chatting on WhatsApp, SMS, or Instagram, thereby preventing double bookings. This means that this feature will prevent you from scheduling two meetings on the same day and time.
It’s expected that the Galaxy S26 series devices will analyse everything that you type using Galaxy AI. It’s likely to take a considerable amount of processing power and a lot of battery life. For many, it could also be a privacy concern.
Samsung may provide an option to disable the feature on the Galaxy S26 series. There isn’t any info yet as regards the name of this feature. There’s also no news on whether Samsung plans to extend this feature to older phones with One UI 8.5. There will be more details as the launch date for these devices gets closer.
