Ice Universe, a known tipster, claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra won’t feature built-in magnets in its body. These features are needed for MagSafe-like functionality.

I’ve confirmed from independent sources with 100% accuracy that the Galaxy S26 Ultra ultimately does not include built-in magnets inside the device. Magnetic functionality still relies on magnetic cases. — Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) February 5, 2026

Though rumours have it that the phone will support Qi2 wireless charging, the lack of integrated magnets shows it will rely on compatible magnetic cases. The only Android lineup from Google that features built-in magnets that enable full Qi2 wireless charging support is the Pixel 10 series.

Other official accessories for the Galaxy S26 series have surfaced. They include: magnetic cases, a magnetic power bank, and a magnetic charger. Also according to rumours, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to support up to 25W wireless charging, and the base Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are likely to be limited to 20W. February 25, 2026, is the expected launch date for the Galaxy S26 series.
