Does your Gmail address sound cringe that it makes you want to create a new account? Or maybe you just want a cooler username without needing to open another account? The good news is that Google has heard your plight and has figured out a way to fix this.
A new feature that will enable you to switch to a new Gmail address without starting over is on the way. Google is seriously working on this feature that will allow users to change their Gmail username without making a new account. With this development in place, all data like emails, photos, Drive files, and messages will stay intact, and both old and new addresses will work.

It means that users can only change their Gmail address once every 12 months, with a total limit of up to three changes. It means you will also be allowed to change it three times after the original address, making a total of four possible Gmail usernames being linked to a single Google account. With this upcoming feature, users can switch to a brand-new Gmail username without losing access to their old address, data or account history.
Google is making it easy for users to always make a new account and set up forwarding, so that emails sent to your old account enter in your new inbox. As soon as the update comes out, Gmail users will be able to change to a new @gmail.com username while keeping everything intact, like: access to all account data, emails, messages, photos, and connected Google services.
This doesn’t mean that your old Gmail will be deleted or suspended. Google will allow users to continue using both the old and new Gmail addresses for signing in, sending emails, and receiving messages . Your old account remains accessible. No one can claim your old username and you can also receive mail on both email addresses.
Once the feature rolls out, it will be easy to change your Gmail username. All you need to do is move to the Personal info section of My Google Account, where you will find the option labelled Change Google Account Email Address. Then enter the new @gmail.com username you want to use. It’s a simple process with straightforward steps. Though the feature hasn’t started rolling out but it’s soon, according to the Google support page update.

According to a recent post, Apple’s plan is to assemble and package iPhone chips in India. The company plans to explore the possibility of that after its discussions with local chip manufacturers in the country.

Also, Apple has talked with CG Semi, which is currently building an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Gujarat. Apple has never assembled or packaged chips in India, and the report suggests that the CG Semi facility could initially focus on display-related chips.
For any partnership to materialize in subsequent discussions, it’s expected that CG Semi meets with Apple’s strict quality and dependability. Apple is also holding talks with other companies.
At the moment, Apple is sourcing its display driver integrated circuits (DDICs) from suppliers such as Samsung, Himax, LX Semicon, and Novatek, all of which operate manufacturing facilities in South Korea, Taiwan, or China.
Apple has consistently expanded manufacturing of its products in India for many years now. The entire iPhone 17 lineup for the US market, for example, is made in the country.
