When it comes to recording a video of the screen of Samsung phones, there are two broad categories. The first is entry-level phones like the Galaxy A04, A05, A06, A15, and A16 series. This class of Samsung smartphones do not have screen recording feature built-in. The second category is made up of devices that are more capable and have screen recording built-in and so do not need a 3rd party app.

How to screen record on Samsung Galaxy A04, A05, A06, and A16 series
To screen record on entry-level Samsung phones like the A04, A05, A06, A14, A15, and A16 series, you need to install a 3rd party app from the Play Store. This is because they do not have screen recording built-in. Here are some options you can install:
- Screen Recorder – XRecorder
- Screen Recorder – AZ Recorder
- Screen Recorder – Video Recorder
Once you have installed a screen recorder app, you can add that app to the quick shortcuts menu for easy access whenever you need to do a recording.
To use it, tap on the quick access shortcut icon and follow the instructions. These instructions vary mildly from one app to another.
You will be able to find your screen recordings in the Samsung Gallery app. And, yes, these apps allow you to record audio along with your screen recording. You can even use an external microphone.
