What Are EV Virtual Test Drive Apps?

Think of them as your personal showroom in your pocket. These apps use high-quality 3D simulations, augmented reality (AR), and even VR to put you behind the wheel of the latest EV models. You can explore interiors, check out impressive tech features like augmented HUDs and AI driver assists, and take a virtual cruise on realistic roads — all without risking a coffee spill on the dealership carpets.

Step 1: Choose the Right App

Start with the apps offered by major EV manufacturers — Tesla, Ford, Hyundai, and others have launched slick virtual test drives that showcase their newest vehicles. Alternatively, some third-party apps aggregate multiple brands for side-by-side tours.

Popular choices include:

  • Tesla Virtual Showroom: Experience Teslas with immersive AR and interactive features.
  • Ford EV Experience App: Try the Mustang Mach-E and other models with engaging test drives.
  • Hyundai Virtual Dealer: Explore interiors and features of the Ioniq and other models.

Step 2: Prepare Your Device and Space

For the best experience, use a tablet or smartphone with good graphics and a fast internet connection. If you own a VR headset , some apps even support virtual reality, letting you feel like you’re truly in the driver’s seat. Clear some space if using VR — you don’t want to bump into your coffee table mid-turn!

Step 3: Dive Into the Virtual Test Drive

Once you’ve selected the model, explore the interiors, customize colors, toggle tech features, and take a simulated drive through different environments like city streets or highways. Some apps let you engage with AI assistants inside the car or simulate special modes like regenerative braking or autopilot functions.

Step 4: Compare Models with Side-by-Side Experiences

One of the greatest perks is the ability to quickly jump between models without wasting hours at multiple dealerships. Note the driving feel, space, tech options, and aesthetics to narrow down your favorites.

Step 5: Book an In-Person Test Drive (Optional)

If you love a model after your virtual “spin,” the app usually offers integrated booking to schedule a real-world test drive at a nearby dealership, so your real-life adventure can begin.

Why Use EV Virtual Test Drive Apps?

  • Save time and avoid showroom crowds.
  • Get comfortable exploring features at your own pace.
  • Access to the latest models even if your local dealer doesn’t stock them yet.
  • Experiment with customization and learn technical specs interactively.

Conclusion

EV Virtual Test Drive Apps are changing the way we shop for electric cars, making the experience smoother, smarter, and way more exciting. From exploring sleek interiors to feeling the virtual thrill of acceleration, these apps bring the showroom to your screen. Whether you’re curious about going electric or already a dedicated fan, EV Virtual Test Drive Apps help you make confident choices without leaving your couch. So buckle up — with EV Virtual Test Drive Apps, the future of car shopping is already in your hands.

On 29th October, 2025 (today), the Nothing Phone 3a Lite will officially make its debut at 13:00 GMT (9:00 AM ET). From the company’s post on X, the Phone 3a Lite will only come with a single LED instead of the flashy light design usually seen on Nothing smartphones.

The post also shows that the Phone 3a Lite will still maintain Nothing’s signature transparent design language. Nothing’s CMF budget smartphones don’t use the same transparent design but choose bold colours and an industrial design.

The Phone 3a Lite will be the company’s first smartphone to combine budget-friendly specs with the stylish and premium design found on its mid-range and flagship smartphones.

According to Xpertpick , the entry-level smartphone will come in a single 8GB+128GB configuration. It will also roll out in two colours: black and white. As for the price, Delabs reveals it will start at €249.99 (about $291.41) in France, and will be available for purchase starting 4th November, 2025.

Nothing usually shares details about its smartphones before their release, but this time, there isn’t much to go on with the Phone 3a Lite. It doesn’t matter now since the phone will be official in a few hours.
