While both devices serve the purpose of streaming content to your TV, there are some key differences and improvements in the Google TV Streamer, which I highlight in the section below.
Differences between Google TV Streamer and Chromecast With Google TV
Design : The Google TV Streamer has moved away from the dongle design of the Chromecast and now resembles a small set-top box. It is much bigger than its predecessor.
