OnePlus is ready to unveil a brand-new smartphone series, as the company has just offered the first official look at its new ‘Turbo’ line . The Turbo series features two new devices: The Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6V. The Turbo 6 series is likely the true flagship. Probably, Turbo 6V will bring the ‘Turbo’ power to a wider audience.

According to OnePlus, the new series will feature a 9,000mAh battery capacity and will be available in two devices. It’s obvious that the company will use silicon-carbon battery tech for the Turbo line to fit the huge batteries without feeling bulky.
The company states that the ‘Turbo’ line will feature powerful gaming performance, though it looks like the two devices don’t come with physical shoulder buttons that phones from brands like RedMagic are known for.

All the same, the two devices, Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V, aren’t different from the brand’s recent releases. The OnePlus Turbo 6 will offer three rear lenses while the Turbo 6V will have just two lenses. According to the report, the two devices will offer an efficient cooling system and water and dust resistance. It’s not known yet if the series will make its way to the US, but the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will be officially released in China on January 8, 2026.

Unlike Samsung’s foldables for previous years, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 doesn’t support S Pen stylus input. But it seems, Samsung may rethink this decision and bring back the S Pen to better compete against Apple’s iPhone Fold .
The popular tipster Lanzuk (via Android Authority ) says that Samsung is now testing S Pen support on Galaxy Z Fold 8 variants as a countermove to Apple launching its first foldable.

Though, it doesn’t seem likely that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 itself will get S Pen support. One reason Samsung discontinued the S Pen for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is so the foldable can be thinner. Including the S Pen will mean thicker screens for both the cover display and inner display to make the foldable sensitive to the stylus. Samsung will want to keep that slim profile on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 too.
It’s more likely that the S Pen compatibility will appear for a different Galaxy Z Fold device. Rumours suggest Samsung is developing a wider foldable with a 4:3 aspect ratio when opened out, same dimensions as the foldable iPhone . It’s called the Samsung Wide Fold.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 variant, the Galaxy Wide Fold
Tipster @UniverseIce has shared predicted screen sizes for both the wide Samsung foldable and the iPhone Fold: 5.4 inches and 7.6 inches for the former, and 5.35 inches and 7.58 inches for the latter.

These iPhone Fold dimensions are not exactly the same as the dimensions that were previously leaked last week and used to make a 3D-printed mockup foldable . It’s either one of these sources is wrong, or Apple might have changed its mind on the width and length of the folding iPhone.
2025 was the year of thin phones. Most manufacturers competed to produce the slimmest phones whether they were practical or not. With the thin trend ending, 2026 promises to be a year of wider foldables. It’s the form factor that may trend with Apple and Samsung being at the forefront of the race.
