MetroPCS phone service reviews on Trustpilot
The Trustpilot site had an overall star review rating of 1.6 stars out of 5 stars. There were not a lot of good reviews on this site but let’s go through the ones I found. Most of the good reviews were mostly about customers’ experience with some customer service agents. Some mentioned names and sang their praises calling them friendly, helpful and professional. Some customers also spoke about the company’s good phone signal which rarely had lags and their good billing system. Here’s some of the good reviews:
•I walked into the MetroPCS store in Leavenworth Kansas, upset about my phone and walked out a very very satisfied customer. The team there, Jacklyn, Nancy & Caleb are absolutely wonderful and professional. I’d recommend them and that store to anyone. Thank you again. Veronica Thomas
•My go to location is Milford, OH. Each time I have visited the store, I’ve had the opportunity to be served by a gentleman named Mike. He has always taken the time to assist with services, products and tech support. Never had become impatient with my many questions. It’s nice to be greeted by someone like Mike, who was welcoming and willing to help. No matter how much time it took. Thank you for being there and for your great service.
Now on to the bad reviews, there were some complaints about language barriers in customer service. Not all the agents speak english which has caused some misunderstanding and issues for customers. A few customers also said customer service is poor and unreliable. Some customers also mentioned that they had dropped calls, poor signal, poor internet service and payment issues. A few customers seemed to have problems with sending and receiving their text messages and also troubleshooting and network connection problems. A few customers also mentioned that some of the phones they purchased were defective and had some issues. Here’s some of the reviews:
•Horrible Customer Service. They employ people who aren’t trained and are unable to even help with processing payments. Took me two days of trying to pay my bill through their App. When that didn’t work I called customer service. And that was unacceptable, they haven’t a clue. Finally after many calls, no supervisor available…I was told they were merging systems and that’s why my payment wasn’t going through Could’ve saved me the Hassel & just told me.
•This is the absolute worst most unreliable service I have ever used and as soon as my month is up am out of here I cannot believe the unreliability especially in today’s times there is flat out no excuse for such a crappy service my calls and internet constantly drop on a regular basis and it’s every single day something goes wrong it’s pathetic I’m over it stay away if I was you.
•My 5G phone began having network connection problems after 2 months. After calling 611 for troubleshooting help 6 times and talking to reps in another country, I’m still stuck with a bad phone that doesn’t make calls half of the time. They sure like to apologize a lot though and pretend they’re empathetic. Saying that their service is useless is an understatement.
MetroPCS phone service reviews on ConsumerAffairs website
The ConsumerAffairs website had an overall star review rating of 3.7 stars out of 5 stars. A lot of the good reviews were mostly about customers’ experience with some customer service agents. Some mentioned names and sang their praises calling them helpful and professional. Some customers also mentioned how great, easy to use and durable their products are. Customers are happy with the great deals, promos and excellent wireless coverage MetroPCS provides. Here’s a few reviews:
•I went to Metro PCS at plaza Mexico 3200 mulford ave lynwood ca 90262 employee id was **. I was very satisfied with her professional demeanor. She was very friendly and very helpful. Very good customer service. I will gladly return to that store anytime and I will highly recommend that location.
•Metro is a good mobile phone company. I have had less problems with them compared to other mobile phone plans. A little expensive but worth it. Their products are great, durable, and easy to use. You get instructions in your phone box. They have their own website for bill paying, music and even one to let you know about all the great deals and promos.
•I went into my MetroPCS in New Britain CT to look into a new phone because mine was 2 years old and on its last leg. When I went in I was greeted by a young woman and then her trainer. Their names were Marilee and Kimberly. The young woman in training was the first to get me and show me all of my options for a new phone. I didn’t even realize she was in training because she greeted me with a professional manner, which really impressed me. Once had my phone and extras picked out that is when the trainer came into the picture and went thru everything with both of us again in s very professional manner.
Now on to the bad reviews, there were a lot of complaints about MetroPCS charging extra money you don’t owe them or charging more than they should. A lot of customers were very angry and some claimed they reported the company. Some customers complained about dropped calls, poor cell reception and poor quality phones. Some customers also complained that some of the customer service agents don’t speak English and a few of them were rude and unprofessional. There were also a few customers who mentioned that the phones they purchased were not properly working and they had missing calls and major payment problems. Here’s a few of the bad reviews:
•I have a big problem with MetroPCS, keep getting dropped calls on my Wi-Fi, I’ve called MetroPCS about the program a half dozen times, they haven’t done anything to help me, they said they were going to switch cell towers, they told me tech support was supposed to email me, they never did, they say I’m sorry a lot, but they don’t do anything to fix the problem, I still have a problem with dropped calls, this has been going on for over 6 months, and they haven’t done nothing to solve the problem, I used to think that MetroPCS was a decent company, I’ve been with them for 3 years, but now I’m on the verge of changing my mind, as well as maybe looking for a new cell phone carrier.
•No disrespect by far but there’s no English speaking person ever when I call, they hang up in your face no matter how nice you are if you request a sup. If they don’t hang up they’ll keep you on hold with horrible music until you hang up. It’s a mess. Even though it’s cheap I’d rather take my 5 phone family plan elsewhere. It’s that bad with Metro PCS and getting worse.
•I made a payment and the money was taken from my account and it’s been 5 days since my phone has been suspended. I spoke to three supervisors and nobody could offer a solution. Each time I wasted one hour with them, the cell reception is horrible, customer service is horrible. The website freezes and payment problems, sometimes you have to log in ten times to finally get it to work, and the prices are very beatable!!

Cricket Wireless Phone Service Reviews on ConsumerAffairs website
The ConsumerAffairs website had an overall star review rating of 3.3 stars out of 5 stars. Customers praised the company’s good service and cheaper phone options in comparison to other companies. Most of the good reviews were mostly about customers’ experience with some customer service agents. Some mentioned names and sang their praises calling them helpful, polite and professional. Cricket wireless also has a no hidden fee or hidden contract promises which some customers were happy about. Few customers also mentioned that the company has great coverage and affordable plans. Here are a some of the good reviews:
•After waiting for approximately 45 mins to talk to a live person. Cindy from customer service pickup. She was very cheerful and had great enthusiasm. My goal was to help my son save money by paying his bill online which I had tried to do earlier that day. She was very clear and precise while she walked me through the process I did complete earlier. She answered any and all questions I had. Thanks for your help Cindy 3/5/22 6:22 pm.
•The sales person in this store is excellent. His name is Dustin. Yes, friendly And there’s a lot of courtesy. He actually goes out of his way to help. He helped me set up my phone 2 separate times. Above and beyond the Call of Duty.
•My wife wanted a new cell phone and went in to look at the offers Cricket had. We were so glad we had an employee, Ali, who explained and showed us what was best for us. He did everything for us. GREAT.
Now on to the bad reviews, there were a lot of them on this site. There were complaints about dropped calls and slow internet services. Another major complaint was customers claiming they bought phones from Cricket but the phones sent were defective and had issues. One even added that he complained and got sent a replacement which was also broken and dirty.
There are also some customers who had or are having billing/charging issues. Some couldn’t make payments on the app and some complained about Cricket adding to their bills. There were also a few complaints about texts not downloading, calls not going through and issues with logging in. There were also some customers who mentioned that customer service was rude and unprofessional to them. Here’s some of the reviews:
•The internet service is extremely slow. I live in Ellenton, Fl and it’s terrible there. Visited Miami and NYC this month and it was horrible there too. Can’t stream music reliably and even websites don’t load a lot of the time. Also a $5 fee for paying a day late on a prepaid phone? I know MetroPCS doesn’t do that. I’m switching back.
•This place doesn’t deserve any stars at all. I called back in December 2020 to cancel my line. And got charged in January another payment for the line that I had canceled a month ago. The guy on the other end of the line agreed that it was one of their mistakes, yet refused to give me a refund. I understand Cricket Wireless does not issue refunds, but if it was a mistake due to one of their employees a refund should be issued. I would never refer Cricket Wireless to anyone.
•Cricket Wireless caters to Hispanics so in their stores, most everything is Only in Spanish. They sell broken phones then when you cannot get service, they :lol lead you in circles until the 7-day return is passed then shut off service for demanding a refund basically stealing your money without providing service. Store employees are extremely unprofessional & rude. They are usually former drug addicts with low work ethics. There is No Tech support. It is ** when they say there is. Money grabbing thieves!

Cricket Wireless Phone Service Reviews on Trustpilot website
The Trustpilot site had an overall star review rating of 1.7 stars out of 5 stars. There were not a lot of good reviews on this site but let’s start with the few I found. A lot of the good reviews were mostly about customers’ experience with some customer service agents.
Some mentioned names and sang their praises calling them polite, knowledgeable and professional. Their good and affordable phones and bills/plans were praised by some of their customers. Some customers were happy with their top quality phones which were given at discounted prices and their excellent plans. Here are a few of the good reviews:
•Excellent wireless phone company. After 8 years, I’ve gotten top quality phones at huge discounted prices. Best of all is the service all over the United States. Excellent plans, competitive pricing, quality phones, and knowledgeable and professional store employees make cricket my favorite phone company.
•I switched over to Cricket from TMO a few months ago, once cricket removed the data and speed caps and has premium data for the cricket more plan. My speeds were cut in half from the carrier switch, but I’m saving $50 a month on 2 lines. So far everything has been great. We live in northern Illinois. On average and at my home I get a consistent speed of 70down/10up. I’ve seen it as high as 210down/21up and as low as 15/less than 1 up. We are using iPhone 12 and 12 pro max, speeds are based on 5G. I have had no issues with calls, texts or streaming. I highly recommend it!
Moving on to the bad reviews, there were a good amount of customers expressing their displeasure with Crickets’ automation customer service and automated bridge pay system which messes up the payment process. Customers also complained about frequent dropped calls, poor reception, slow data and spam calls. Some customers seemed frustrated with customer service claiming it’s difficult to get through to customer service because they were always on hold.
If they somehow managed to get through to customer service, they always seemed clueless and didn’t know how to solve customer issues. There were also major complaints concerning being given incorrect information from customer service agents. Here are some of the reviews:
•I have been very disappointed in the process of trying to switch over to Cricket. UPS said they delivered my phones, but did not! Cricket ported my lines without me having a phone and now I haven’t been able to use my current phone. It has been one big uncalled for mess! This has been going on since August 24th, today is September 7th! Cricket wireless support team sucks and especially the supervisor I talked to! Then they have the audacity to see me a link through email to rate the “phone” that I’ve never received! Just absolutely unprofessional. I would not advise switching over to Cricket!!!
•I would have given them zero reviews. Yes, I’ve been with them for over five years! But when this s*** hits the fan and a good customer needs help you have supervisors on the other end who have their heads up their asses so far they have no idea what’s going on and have no idea what an IT department is I’ve had problems with him for two months couldn’t pay my credit card couldn’t pay buy anything so my phone. Shut off twice actually talk to somebody nice the first time, but the second time I talk to this dumbass supervisor who has no idea what’s going on.
No record of all my payments and all the bulshit I’ve been through it’s just a horrible horrible horrible company and I totally and completely advise going with them I’ve had so many problems with them over the five years it was just convenient and that’s all. If you’re reading this please take my Stern advice and go to another cell phone company. Go get a Walmart phone or something or anything it doesn’t matter just do not buy a Cricket phone and do not do business with these people they are horrible.
