The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has begun to receive a new software update that introduces the April 2020 Android security patch with it. The Redmi device was launched earlier this year and went on sale with the March Android Security Patch.
Xiaomi is releasing the new software update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max with a firmware version MIUI v11.0.2.0.QJXINXM. The update weighs around 338MB in size and users can check out for them on their Android device by going to Settings > About phone > System Update.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max costs around $205 for the 6GB RAM+64GB variant, $230 for the 6GB RAM+128GB variant and $256 for the 8GB RAM+128GB variant.
This smartphone runs on the Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. It also features a 6.67-inch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon720G SoC. In the camera department, four rear cameras with a 64MP primary sensor as the headliner ensure that you get the best out of your photography and a selfie camera with a 32MP sensor offers solid quality on video calls and selfies.
This update is expected to start rolling out to Redmi devices this week, and there is no talk of added features to this update, implying that this will be just a basic security update.
