At last, Google launched Gemini integration to Google Home last year. It enhances the overall experience on smart devices. Though issues came up with the Google Home and frustrated users have complained about their lights and switches showing up as offline and automations failing to run .
However, these smart home items are controllable from their respective apps. The good thing is that the Google Home, showing some smart devices as offline, can also be controlled through voice using Gemini. It seems the difficulty only affects other smart appliances still showing live and some devices with cameras and TVs.

Reports have it that Google Home automations are failing to run. Unfortunately, most times, affected automations can’t be edited or even deleted. According to one Reddit user, the appearance came up on his Pixel phone again after wiping them.
Yet another Google Home user reports that the automations fail to trigger when using voice commands, even while they run correctly through the Google Home app.
Also, it still doesn’t work when you want to restart the affected devices or add them again to Google Home. This is all as a result of a server-side outage from Google’s side. The company will definitely rectify the problem from its end.
Moreso, the company released faster and more reliable device controls, upgraded Home and Away automations that feature advanced conditions, actions, and starters. Just early January, the company unveiled an additional 20 starters, conditions, and actions. This, no doubt, will allow users to create more granular automations.
