Maeil Kyungjae, The Korean Publication , states details from Samsung during its Outlook for next year, where we’re expecting to see the Galaxy S26 series debut and the company’s annual sale target of 35 million units for the Galaxy S26 series next year.

This sales target for Galaxy S26 will no doubt be a huge growth for Samsung, as the revenue could climb to roughly $90.7 billion. It appears that Samsung is quite confident in its S26 series , though the report doesn’t break down how many units per model it expects to sell. The company is not only looking at its S26 series to carry it, but also its 2026 foldable line. So Samsung is looking forward to selling roughly 5 million foldable units, a number that will likely span the next Galaxy Z Flip and Fold combined.

There’s a recent report about Samsung’s Ultra model’s S Pen speculating that the next one could drop its boxy appearance for something a little softer. Instead of flat edges, it will be a curvier design for its S26 Ultra S Pen. Rumours also claim that the S26 Ultra could be the end of an era, as Samsung may not bring back the S Pen.

Google has been adding new changes to the Gboard for a personalised experience for users. After including toggle keys to remove some punctuation keys, it now rolls out an update that will make it quicker to access the hinted symbols.

There is a new “Flick keys to enter symbols” feature under Gboard preferences . The toggle key allows users to touch a key and pull downward to enter its hinted symbol. This action is more like a flick of the key, but there is also a sensitivity option for users to set the action to how they prefer it.

Flick keys for hinted symbols

By “hinted symbol,” we mean extra characters seen at the top right corner of the keyboard letters. They are basically the numbers 1 to 10 on the top row of letters: Q, W, E, R, T, Y, U, I, O, and P. By pulling down the keys, each number can be entered, instead of the usual sub-menu.

Earlier, Google introduced an update for a more minimalistic keyboard, by hiding punctuation marks and making the spacebar wider. While some love the new look, others feel it makes their texts clumsy. Either way, it’s a toggleable option for Gboard users that is off by default.

Google has been rolling out updates to Gboard over the years, one of which is the popular Emoji Kitchen that makes expressing emotions easier and more fun. Who knows what it will bring to Gboard next?
