Google Fiber phone is a VoIP phone service available in limited locations. Google Fiber Phone includes a set of standard and enhanced features. Its flexibility lets you decide when, where, and how you make and receive calls, send and receive texts, and listen to or read transcriptions of your voicemail. Google Fiber provides various internet speeds up to 1 Gbps. It requires a one-year contract and has reasonable prices starting at $50 per month. Let’s go through a few reviews and see what customers have to say about the Google Fiber phone.

Google Fiber phone reviews on Best Company
Best Company was the first site I visited, and it has an overall star review rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Let’s start with the good reviews, some customers expressed their happiness with the customer service and internet . Most of the good reviews are from 2-4 years back, there are good recent reviews, but they are very few in comparison to the ones from years back. Some customers wrote about their friendly customer service, fast and reliable internet and good offers. Here’s one of the reviews from 3 years ago:
We have Google Fiber for our internet, and it’s way faster and cheaper than when we had Comcast. We did a lot of research on our last move about which company would be the fastest for the least and Google was always double the speed for the same price, and we have been very satisfied with their service. We have tenants in our home that use the same Wi-Fi, and we’ve never had a buffering issue! Also, billing is super easy with the auto-pay.
Now, onto the bad reviews, a lot of customers were not happy with their customer service at all. There were also a lot of complaints about internet outages, lags and unreliable tech support. Here’s one of the reviews:
Internet outage again, happens every other month, this time lasted for 14 hours with only 2 updates. Said it would be fixed by X time and passed that by 6 hours. Very hard to run a company from home with continued outages. I’ve had service with them for 2 yrs now, and regret it. (source)
Google Fiber phone reviews on ConsumerAffairs
Next, I visited ConsumerAffair and the site had an overall star review rating of 3.8 out of five stars. Even with that good star rating, I had to switch pages before I found a good review. Some customers talked about how it was cheaper in comparison to other companies. Here’s one of the good reviews:
Has maintained price for 3 years, are $50 month cheaper than Spectrum was; my cable has been out maybe 3 times in 3 years, although I never even knew it, but they gave me a refund on my bill– only way I found out; it could not have been out for more than a few minutes to an hour. There were a lot of complaints concerning Google Fiber’s customer service. Here’s what a customer had to say about Google Fiber’s customer service: My experience was inhumane. Customer service gave a reason for the numerous unauthorized withdrawals out of my account. Bill was paid. Thank God I checked my acct. Customer Service lies, false info & extremely rude. Please Never Use Google Fiber!!!! There were also other complaints on internet outages, unreliable tech support, internet speed, misinformation and more. (source)
