Starting from next week, Threads as an app, is rolling out ads to all Threads users worldwide. When compared to X, the platform is safe for advertisers. It allows its 400 million+ monthly active users to rake in cold, hard cash.

Threads will soon contain ads - 1

This development is coming after the initial release of ads on Threads to advertisers. According to Meta, the ad experience on Threads isn’t supposed to be different from Facebook and Instagram.

The ads on Threads are powered by Meta’s proven AI-powered ads system. It simply means that people can expect to see the same personalisation in Threads ads. It will be the same as on other Meta platforms like Facebook and Instagram , as they’re used to.

It’s easy for advertisers, in terms of transition. They just need to add Threads to the campaigns, especially if they’re already advertising on Facebook or Instagram.

It doesn’t mean that from next week your Threads feed will be full of ads. It will be a gradual process after the rollout. So when it’s completely deployed, users can expect to see static and video ads in 4:5 aspect ratio, carousel format, app ads, and lots more.

According to Meta, it will offer third-party verification through Meta Business Partners to conduct independent audits of wherever ads come up. This move can divert the interest of advertisers from X to Meta as a result of the problem they’re experiencing with their campaigns appearing next to sensitive or inappropriate content.

Samsung’s next Ultra flagship , the Galaxy S26 Ultra , will stand out, as it’s rumoured to feature two of the best smartphone displays not seen on other devices.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra One UI 8.5 Google Play System updates - 2

One of the two features is Privacy Display. According to Samsung, this feature will make the screen harder to see from the sides while keeping it clear when you’re looking straight at it. This is more of a built-in privacy screen, but without the downsides of a screen protector.

The second feature is the anti-reflective Gorilla Glass Amor display that protects your privacy. This feature is very beneficial as we use our phones in public all the time, and sensitive information is bound to show on the screen most times. With Privacy Display, users can quickly turn on extra privacy or even have it activate automatically for certain apps like banking or messaging. This will definitely improve user experience.

This display is easier to read outdoors and under bright lights as it reduces reflections drastically. With this feature, you can’t use the screen as a mirror, though you can always turn on the camera whenever you wish to do so. Notwithstanding, it enhances the viewing experience.

Probably Samsung may extend the Gorilla Glass Amor to other devices and not just around the Ultra. It’s expected that the Galaxy S26 lineup will be unveiled on the 25th of February .
