The Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature the Exynos 2600 while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will likely run on Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset . For the Galaxy S27 series, rumours suggest that the Galaxy S27 Ultra may use a custom Qualcomm chip.

Samsung’s custom Qualcomm chip for the Galaxy S27 Ultra
The Galaxy S27 may use a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip , according to rumours. The chip would be manufactured on Samsung’s 2nm process. While the report doesn’t mention the Galaxy S27 Ultra by name, it’s almost conclusive that it’s the device in question, as the Galaxy S27 Ultra is the most preferred candidate for such a change.
It’s been a while since Samsung made Qualcomm flagship chips, but recent reports suggest that Samsung Foundry may continue with the chip production. The chances are higher since Samsung Foundry’s yields on the 2nm process have improved. With the lack of capacity at TSMC, customers like Qualcomm can only turn to Samsung.
Custom-tuned chips have had slightly higher CPU clock speeds for Galaxy phones compared to the versions sold by Qualcomm to other device manufacturers. That’s what the expression “custom-tuned” likely means.
With the Galaxy S27 series still a long way off, there could be changes in the plans as with all leaks and predictions of future devices.

Apple announced the expansion of the hypertension notifications to Apple Watch and iPhone users in Australia, Malaysia, Colombia, Indonesia, South Korea, Brazil, and Turkey.
The hypertension detection feature was introduced in September last year and it uses the health sensors on the Apple Watch and custom-designed algorithms to determine if a user seems to be regularly experiencing high blood pressure. If the feature detects hypertension over 30 days, the Apple Watch sends an alert suggesting that the user get their blood pressure frequently monitored by a doctor.

Apple says hypertension is a major risk factor for heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease, impacting 1.4 billion adults globally. Hypertension does not usually have visible symptoms, which is why it can go undiagnosed.
Apple Watch owners in the countries where Apple has introduced support can now set up hypertension alerts in the Health app. Hypertension alerts are available for the Apple Watch Series 9 and later and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later.
