After OnePlus teased the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V last month, it has fully unveiled the phones that offer impressive battery life and gaming capabilities at a relatively low price.

OnePlus Turbo 6 specs

Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V both come with 9,000mAh batteries , even bigger than the 7,300mAh OnePlus 15 battery. They offer charging rates of up to 80W and measure in at just 8.5mm in thickness despite the large batteries.

Their water and dust resistance ratings are IP66, IP68, and IP69, allowing them to withstand splashes, submersion, high-pressure, and high-temperature water jets. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, a 2MP monochrome one, and a 16MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 is the higher-end model , while the Turbo 6V is the more affordable model. The Turbo 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and offers up to 16GB of RAM. It includes a Fengchi Game Kernel, which can help games reach 165fps. The storage capacity is up to 512GB, and it features a 6.78-inch screen with a 165Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, the OnePlus Turbo 6V comes with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and a 6.78-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Other than the battery and screen specs, there isn’t any high-end feature for both devices. The high-capacity batteries, high refresh rates, and game-boosting Fengchi Game Kernel for the OnePlus Turbo 6 make the devices solid choices for gaming.

OnePlus Turbo 6 availability and pricing

These smartphones are only confirmed for China, with the OnePlus Turbo 6 starting at CNY 2,300 (about $330 / £245), while the 6V starts at CNY 1,900 (approximately $270 / £200), making them quite affordable. There’s the possibility of the devices launching globally later on, but nothing has been confirmed from OnePlus.

Samsung claimed that the battery swole up because of a crack in the internal moulding structure and that was why it got stuck on Daniel’s hand. Though the exact cause can’t be determined, after a three-month-long investigation even with the analysis involving an independent external agency, Samsung concluded that there is no wider battery safety risk associated with the Galaxy Ring.
