With tech giants producing thinner phones, more companies are joining the thin phone trend. Following Apple’s super slim iPhone Air, Samsung released the ultra-thin S25 Edge, even developing the S26 Edge. But with the slow sales of the S25 Edge, reports show that it has discontinued the slim Edge lineup. Motorola too doesn’t want to be left out.
The company has released the X70 Air in China. The X70 Air is a sleek 5.99mm thick phone with a lightweight of 159 grams. In contrast, Apple’s iPhone Air is 5.6mm thick and weighs 165 grams, while Samsung’s S25 Edge measures in at 5.8mm and 163 grams.

The latest member of the thin phone family, Motorola’s X70 Air, is only available in China for now but will likely expand to the North American market within the next few months. Rumours suggest that the X70 Air could come as the Motorola Edge 70 to be launched in the US, but this has not been confirmed yet.
Motorola’s X70 Air comes in three colour variants — gadget gray, lily pad green and bronze green — in a matte finish. As for strength and durability, the X70 Air has IP68 and IP69 ratings and is resistant to dust and water. This makes it on par with other flagship phones from Apple, Google and Samsung.

Motorola X70 Air specs
The X70 Air packs a 4,800mAh battery with 68-watt fast wired charging support. It comes with a powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and boasts up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It features a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 1,220×2,712-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.
The X70 Air has three 50-Megapixel cameras, one in the front and two in the rear. It runs on the latest Android 16, featuring a built-in AI agent and an updated Smart Connect for cross-device integration.
Many phone manufacturers seem to have at least one thin phone model. Even with thin phones being promoted by tech giants, some consumers are still not willing to make the switch, mostly because of scepticism. Others, the downsides such as battery and camera compromises are the reason.

We knew that OnePlus would launch its latest phone anytime soon, but we didn’t know exactly when. Now we do. OnePlus has shared more details about the OnePlus 15 , including its launch date, and also revealed information about a new colour option for the phone.
According to a post from the company’s official account on Weibo, the OnePlus 15 is going to make its debut on October 27. But that’s not the only device we’re expecting. OnePlus reveals that the OnePlus Ace 6 will also launch alongside the OnePlus 15.

This isn’t a global launch we’re talking about. This is just for China. It will launch globally sometime later, but at least we know the key specs of the phone. When the OnePlus 13 was launched in October last year, it wasn’t until January of this year that it received a global launch. The OnePlus 15 might follow a similar pattern, though there are rumours that point to November 13. We can’t be sure for now.

In another post , the company showcased the three colour variants of the OnePlus 15: original sand dune, absolute black and a new misty purple colour. As for the specs, we know it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The 6.78-inch display will feature a 165Hz refresh rate.
