We live in a world where smartphones keep getting taller and wider and thicker – mostly. The world has gone crazy about big phones. In the middle of all of these, some manufacturers are putting in the effort to make phones that buck the trend.
This article explores the thinnest phones in the world in 2025. At a time that phone brands are fighting to put in the biggest screens and biggest batteries possible in their smartphones, it is good to see some excitement about thin phones in the air. If you have been looking for the thinnest phones in the market this year, we have you covered and present the information below.
Now, with the arrival of foldable smartphones, picking the thinnest phones has gotten a bit more complicated. Why? Naturally, by virtue of their designs, they tend to the the thinnest smartphones when opened up. But there are lots of people who want thin regular phones. As such, I will dedicate a section to the thinnest foldable phones and then another dedicated section to the thinnest regular phones. Good deal; right?

It is interesting to see that in the world of foldables, it is mostly Chinese brands that make up the largest chunk of the thinnest phones in the world. The top 10 list above has eight (8) phones from Chinese brands, one from Korean brand, Samsung, and one from American brand , Google. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 narrowly misses the top 10 list with its 5.6mm thickness.
Now that we are done with the thinnest foldable phones in the market, let’s get to the thinnest regular phones. Come along.

The Top 10 Thinnest Phones:
- Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G – 6.8mm thick
- Honor 200 Lite – 6.8mm thick
- Huawei nova 12s – 6.9mm thick

- Vivo V50 – 7.4mm thick
- Vivo V40 – 7.6mm thick; this 10th spot is shared with Infinix Note 50 4G which is 7.6mm thick as well.
Again, similar to what we saw with the thinnest foldable devices, we are seeing that the thinnest regular smartphones are also mostly of Chinese origin. Again, eight (8) of the spots are Chinese, while we have Korea making up the other two (2) spots.
Other super-thin phones we are expecting in 2025
Months ago, we began to hear rumors of incredibly thin smartphones being expected from two of the world’s top mobile phone brands, Samsung and Apple. That generated quite some excitement. But it was TECNO that stepped up first with the super-thin TECNO Spark Slim. It is only 5.75mm thin. That is incredibly thin. Unfortunately, the Spark Slim is a concept phone and won’t be available to buy. But we are expecting that TECNO will produce a commercial device with similar thickness before the year is up.
So, what about the thin devices being rumored to be on the way from Samsung and Apple? We are expecting the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge which is being rumored to be a mere 6.4mm thin. That isn’t as thin as TECNO’s concept phone, but it will automatically shoot to the top of the current table of the thinnest phones in the world.
Lastly, we are also expecting a thin smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 17 Slim. However, at this time, there is no word on the exact thickness it will arrive with. So, we wait. When the Samsung Galaxy Edge and iPhone 17 Slim go on sale, the list of the world’s thinnest smartphones will change a little bit more and we will update this page accordingly.
It is looking like 2025 is a year of the renaissance of thin smartphones. Which is good. We are also seeing a renaissance of compact flagship smartphones (YouTube video) as well. Which is all good, as there are a few millions of people who argue that modern smartphones have gotten too big.

Perhaps you merely have a passing interest in the fastest Charging smartphones or you actually are looking to buy one of them. Fast charging technology has been around for a while and it gets faster and faster.
While some brands – like Apple, Samsung, and Google – do not seem interested in the fast charging race, others – especially those from other parts of the world – are in a hot race to push the frontiers of fast wired charging in their devices.
Below is the list of the fastest Charging smartphones in 2025.

Top 10 Fastest Charging Smartphones in 2025
- Motorola Edge 50 Ultra – 125W
- Motorola Moto X50 Ultra – 120W
- Motorola Edge 50 Pro – 125W
- Xiaomi 14T Pro – 120W
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G – 120W
- Realme GT7 Pro Racing – 120W
- Xiaomi POCO F6 Pro – 120W
- Realme GT 7 Pro – 120W
- Xiaomi Redmi K80 Pro – 120W
- ZTE Nubia RedMagic 10 Pro+ – 120W
As at March 2025, 125W appears to be the fastest charging rating in the market. That’s the rating of the fastest charging smartphones in the market this year.
If you want to go back a few years, you will definitely find a handful of smartphones that have been fitted with faster wired charging than that. For example, Infinix Zero Ultra from 2022 had 180W wired charging. But you are not likely to find that phone in the market any more.
Realme GT5 came with 240W wired charging in 2023 and there is a small chance that you can still find it if you search hard enough. Before the GT5, there was also the Realme GT3 from the same year and it had the same 240W wired charging. Again, if you look hard enough, you just might get lucky. But there is no arguing that the Realme GT3 and GT5 are the fastest charging smartphones ever.
Also, note how certain brands are absent from the list. The fastest charging smartphones on the market are all made by Chinese phone brands – Motorola (owned by Lenovo), Xiaomi, Realme, and ZTE. China is clearly pushing the frontiers of wired charging.
