For years now, Google has offered a way to make non-Gmail inboxes feel like a part of your emails. That feature is called Gmailify, but it is soon to be removed.

On the company’s support page , Google states that Gmailify will be discontinued this month. With the feature removed, Gmail will no longer apply features like spam protection, inbox categories, advanced search, or enhanced notifications to third-party email accounts such as Yahoo or Outlook.

Google Gmail address change and Gmailify discontinued - 1

Gmailify linked your other email address to your Gmail account and pulled messages into your inbox, and Gmail would treat them like they were Gmail messages. With multiple inboxes, Gmail would filter and organise them all in one place.

For non-Gmail accounts, this Gmail feature will cease to work . You’ll be able to read existing imported messages, but third-party messages won’t be prioritised. Gmail will also drop support for fetching emails from other providers using POP. Gmailify depended on this process, so without it, the “Check mail from other accounts” option will disappear from the Gmail web version. Third-party messages in your inbox before this change will remain there.

It doesn’t mean Google won’t let you access other email accounts through Gmail. You’ll just have fewer options. You can add third-party accounts to the Gmail app on Android and iOS using a standard IMAP connection, or by setting up automatic forwarding from your email provider so new messages can keep going to your Gmail.

The company didn’t state the reason for discontinuing the Gmailify feature. Possible reasons could be cost or system reasons. It could also be a way of encouraging users to get a Gmail address to enjoy the full Gmail experience.

During the first half of 2025, it was believed that Samsung would shake things up a little for the Galaxy S26 series . Rumours suggested that only the Ultra model would retain its spot while the other models would get major changes. The base Galaxy S26 would be replaced with the S26 Pro, and the S26+ the S26 Edge.

Leaks in the second half of 2025 reported that Samsung had cancelled its plans for the shakeup. It suggested that the company would play it safe. Samsung has now officially confirmed what models to expect in its upcoming lineup.

According to SamMobile , Samsung released a PDF on its Colombian website that lists promotions for its range of devices, including monthly payment plans available for each. This contains the specific names of the devices that make up the series.

The Galaxy S25 series is also mentioned in the sheet, as well other devices. For the S26 , it does not make any mention of a ‘Pro’ or an ‘Edge’ model . Other than the model names, the document confirms the payment options for the upcoming devices, including 6, 12, 18, and 24 months. This might be applicable to the US or maybe not.

With familiar names appearing in the official document, it makes things clearer about the upcoming lineup. Although the ‘Pro’ model wasn’t mentioned, the base Galaxy S26 could serve as a ‘Pro’ device without the suffix. Although the S26 Edge has been put on hold, Samsung may decide to launch a second model later this year.

We expect to see the Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch in late February, precisely on February 25, 2026. This includes the Galaxy S26, S26 plus and S26 Ultra.
