Creators of social media app TikTok have introduced Donation Stickers to their live streams and videos to spur followers to donate to charitable causes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Users can tap the stickers which will usher them to a donation page within the app that lets them input their credit card details and donation amount. TikTok aims to match the first $10 million donated globally until the 27 th of May.

Some of the listed charities include Meals on Wheels, the CDC foundation, the James Beard Foundation in the US, the British Red Cross and Help Musicians in the UK. TikTok says that these donation stickers will be a permanent feature in the app.
Users can add a donation sticker to their own TikTok video by tapping on the COVID-19 Donation Sticker in the editing page, then selecting an organization before adding the sticker to your video. TikTok will automatically add the #doubleyourimpact hashtag to videos that use these stickers.
In recent times, a number of social networks have employed similar means to get people to donate, with Facebook and Instagram adding similar features to their stories last year. The new stickers are currently available in the UK, US, France, Germany and Italy, and are expected to reach other regions in the coming weeks.
Only users over the age of 18 are allowed to donate through this platform. It is refreshing to see a number of tech companies employ different methods to offer help and hope to people in need this lockdown period.

It has been a long time coming, but finally the Nokia 6.2 Android 10 update is official and rolling out to units around the world. This was made public by Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global.
The software update is currently rolling out to the first batch of countries – 43 in all. It is available over-the-air (OTA) and brings redesigned UI, native dark mode, new Android 10 gesture navigation, privacy and location controls, as well as an overall better experience.

Unfortunately, the United States, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and South Africa, are not among the first batch. I have a Nokia 6.2 here with me and checked anyway, though my country is not on the first batch. And truly, the update isn’t available for my unit yet.
HMD Global says that the first batch rollout will end on the 3rd of May, after which it will start rolling out for the 2nd wave or batch.
