Happy days are here on Twitter for people looking for a saner social media experience. Twitter has been implementing policies to tame spam and trolls, and the new Conversation Participants is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Conversation Participants lets you choose who can reply to each tweet that you publish. You can set it to allow anyone, just those you follow, or just those you mention in the particular tweet.

Did I hear someone shout Hallelujah? Finally, you can have some decent conversations on Twitter without some uncouth fellows jumping in to be rude or to even derail the convo entirely.
The battle against abusive behaviour online just scored a major point on Twitter.
Oh; and there is another option that lets you prevent ANYONE from replying a tweet you publish. Yes; this is a delicious one for when you want to vent or have a monologue and do not have the energy to entertain replies.
Conversation Participants was announced at CES 2020 and will roll out at an unspecified date in 2020, but a limited experiment will start happening before the end of March 2020.

I think this is a superb move by Twitter and that it will indeed curve abuse and allow for a saner experience for many users.
Are you excited about the new Conversation Participants that Twitter has announced?

Samsung has scored a first with a portable SSD that is fitted with a fingerprint scanner. The Samsung T7 Touch was showcased at CES 2020.
Smartphone features keep being translated over to other kinds of devices and now the fingerprint scanner has found its way to portable solid state drives.

Adding fingerprint authentication to a portable drive means the data on it cannot be accessed by just anyone.
Besides the fingerprint authentication feature, the Samsung T7 Touch also has a ‘Motion LED’, which allows the user to determine the status of the device simply with a single glance. That is similar to LED notification as implemented on some smartphones.
The T7 Touch is available in two colours – black and silver, and it comes in three memory variants – 500GB, 1TB and 2TB sizes,
The 500GB variant has a $129 price tag, the 1TB variant goes for $229 and the 2TB for $399 It will go on sale in Q2 2020.

We have seen a few cool gadgets announced at CES 2020, but would an event of that sort be complete without one or two oddities? The Cyrcle Phone is odd because, instead of being rectangular, it is circular or round.

Yes; a round phone. The last time we saw something similar to that was back in the days of Nokia and Symbian OS.
The startup behind it says it is a phone for non-rectangular people. If you are non-rectangular, can we see a show of hands?
I don’t know what non-rectangular means, and I doubt that you do either. However, the Cyrcle phone looks more like an old-school Sony Discman. Perhaps this is targets at music lovers too.
That is a possibility, seeing that it also has two headphone jacks. Now, you and your boo boo can plug into one phone at the same time to share a moment.

Here is a video from CES 2020:
Yes; a circular phone could be an exciting prospect if you are bored with the rectangular slabs that are the order of the day.
This round phone isn’t ready yet. The makers say it should be ready in a year’s time. That is a long time, but we will be on the lookout for it.
