Vivo Y31s has launched as the first smartphone from the company to sport the new Snapdragon 480 SoC. This release follows Qualcomm’s announcement of the 480 SoC as the first in the 400-series to offer 5G support. The Vivo Y31s launched with dual rear cameras and a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC under the hood.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y31s launched with the Funtouch OS 10.5 based on Android 11 and brings 128GB of onboard storage to the table. A 6.58-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate accompanies this device. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC which supports mmWave and Sub-6 GHz 5G networks, while offering up to 6GB of RAM.

In the camera department, this smartphone’s dual rear cameras consist of a 13MP primary sensor assisted by a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, an 8MP sensor in a waterdrop notch takes care of selfies and video calls.

The Vivo Y31s launched in China with gradient, red and gray color options. It also brings a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at 18W. It is currently up for sale in China and is expected to reach a number of other regions in the coming weeks.

It is available in two storage variants, a 4GB+128GB variant which costs CNY 1,498 ($232) and a 6GB+128GB model which costs CNY 1,698 ($263).

Samsung Galaxy A32 5G has been unveiled in Europe as the company’s cheapest 5G smartphone till date. It is perceived by some as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A31 which launched last year. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G launched with four rear cameras and a sizeable 5,000mAh battery, while offering two different storage options.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is built around a 6.50-inch HD+ TFT Infinity-V display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a 13MP snapper in a notch which handles selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G launched with an octa-core MediaTek chipset, and will offer up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage (expandable via microSD to 1TB). The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G should run the Android 11 OS with One UI 3.0.

In the optics department, four rear cameras line up the rearguard, with a 48MP primary sensor heading the setup. This snapper is assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W quick charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is priced at €279 for the 64GB model and €299 for its 128GB model, it is available in four different color options for buyers to pick from with Awesome Blue, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Violet colors.

This smartphone is expected to hit the shelves from the 12 th of February, with no news yet regarding when it will get to other markets.
