Your phone notifications can be overwhelming sometimes, especially if you have a lot of Android apps for shopping, news and social media. But don’t worry, the Pixel phone will soon organise them, as Google introduces an AI-powered feature for your Pixel device. When these apps send alerts for sales, new stories, or trending posts to draw you in, cluttering your notification panel, Google’s new Notification Organizer feature will manage all. While that’s good news, the bad news is that not all Pixel devices will get this feature.
Google announced during the November 2025 Pixel Drop that it would introduce a feature next month that will help further reduce notification overwhelm issues by organising and silencing lower-priority notifications and saving you from unnecessary interruptions.
Google didn’t share the feature’s name or mechanics, but reports reveal it will be called Notification Organizer and will use on-device AI to analyse your notifications. None of your notification data will be sent to Google for processing, which protects your privacy.
According to Google, the Notification Organizer will be exclusive to the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series, excluding the Pixel 9a. Also, the feature currently only supports English and won’t be able to categorise notifications in other languages. It will arrive ahead of the Pixel’s much-anticipated notification summary feature that uses AI to recap group texts and long chat threads.
The Notification Organizer groups and silences notifications into categories like News and Promotions. Notifications from Google News and the Google App are grouped under the News category, while notifications from Google One, YouTube Music, and Google TV are under Promotions. It doesn’t categorise all notifications from a single app into one bundle, but it determines where to place them based on their content, not the app that sent them.
The other two categories — Social and Suggested — are disabled by default and have to be activated. To enable them, head over to Settings > Notifications > Notification Organizer once the feature rolls out.
