A report from Asia has revealed the change in Apple’s pattern in releasing its new smartphones. This is evident in the case of the vanilla iPhone 18.
Earlier reports have it that Apple plans to delay the vanilla iPhone 18 until next spring. This means it won’t launch at the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will launch on time in the fall, and the iPhone Fold will also be launched at the same time.

According to the new report, the iPhone 18 will be unveiled during the first half of 2027. However, multiple sources reveal to Nikkei Asia that this move is aimed at optimising resources and maximising profits from premium models during surging prices for memory chips”. The next iPhone Air is likely to launch at the same time as the iPhone 18 next year.
It obviously sounds tough as Apple tries to minimise production challenges while making mass production for its first foldable iPhone . Probably, this change in Apple’s release strategy will help in better management of supply chain resources.

According to the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G leak, smartphones as well as budget phones, will get more expensive this year. This counters previous rumours stating that flagship and mid-range smartphone prices will go up.

A new report from Abhishek Yadav shows that entry-level phones will also experience a price hike this year. This came after Xiaomi President, Lu Weibing, suggested that flagship phone prices would go up in 2026. Also, Nothing CEO, Carl Pei, supported the claim by stating the future of ultra-cheap or mid-range phones on the market in 2026.

However, the tipster claims to have obtained Indian market pricing for the Samsung Galaxy A07 5G from the company’s internal communication with retail partners. Thus, Samsung’s new entry-level smartphone option will start from ₹15,999 (about £126). It’s relatively higher than the price of the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G, which launched at ₹11,499 in 2025. It’s about 40% rise in price .
But there’s still hope for potential buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S26, as SammyGuru points out . The report that came earlier this month showed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 would receive a price hike in certain markets. But in the US market, the price will be the same as the Samsung Galaxy S25.
